What is counted, and how the file was made

The religious group with the largest share of a country's people, from Pew's estimates built on more than 2,700 censuses and surveys: Christians, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Jews, other religions, or the religiously unaffiliated. People are counted by how they describe themselves, whatever they practise.
