Transnistria
Europe
Not ranked: disputed territory
would rank #78 among countries
Possession without intent to sell is a crime with up to three years in prison under Transnistria's own criminal code, and supply carries three to seven. Little else about its drug law could be confirmed.
Disputed territory. Transnistria broke away from Moldova in 1990 and runs its own courts, police and criminal code. No UN member state recognises it; it is regarded internationally as part of Moldova, whose more lenient drug law is not applied there. See also π²π© Moldova.

None known.
No legal cannabis products are known.
No medical cannabis programme is known.
A conviction is entered in Transnistria's own criminal records. Because its courts are not recognised abroad, the standing of such a conviction elsewhere is unclear.
Taking cannabis into or out of Transnistria is a separate offence from possessing it, normally charged as smuggling or trafficking, with far heavier penalties. That holds almost everywhere, including between two places where cannabis is legal.
A prescription or medical card from another country is generally not recognised. Travellers who need a cannabis-based medicine should ask Transnistria's embassy before travelling.
