The Republic of China signed the Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs in the name of China on 30 March 1961 and ratified it on 12 May 1969. The convention required parties to control cannabis cultivation, possession and trade for non-medical use. After the People's Republic took China's UN seat, it declared the Taiwan signatures null and void; Taiwan is not a UN member today but still lists cannabis as a Category 2 narcotic.[1][2][3]
Listed for context. No score change is recorded for Taiwan here.
