Taiwan bans THC in cosmetics but keeps a hemp-seed residue limit

A 21 March 2024 amendment to the cosmetics prohibited-ingredients list made tetrahydrocannabinols a banned cosmetic ingredient. Hemp-seed oil may still be used if the finished product contains no more than 10 ppm THC, and CBD may not be added to cosmetics at all. The rule is a product-safety limit, not a permission to grow hemp or cannabis.[1]
