Hemp 🇻🇳 Vietnam

Vietnam's police say hemp for cloth and food is not a drug offence

Answering a public question in March 2024, the Ministry of Public Security said fibre hemp is not in the Government's banned plant lists and that growing it for cloth, fodder or fuel is not an administrative or criminal offence. The ministry put typical THC in hemp below 0.3% and said cannabis is distinguished by its much higher THC. It warned that using hemp to extract drugs or organise drug use can still be prosecuted. The answer described a practice, not a licensing scheme or a legal THC limit.[1]
