The State General Prosecutor's Office recorded 551 drug-related crimes in 2025, 21.6 per cent more than in 2024, and police arrested 417 people. More than 40.7 per cent of those arrested were aged 25 to 35. The prosecutor's office said ignorance of the drug laws and attempts to make easy money helped explain the increase; the figures cover all drugs.[1]
