Police raided nightclubs and bars in Ulaanbaatar from 25 to 27 July 2025 and tested 1,043 people positive for an illicit drug. The campaign followed a rise in drug crime and calls for tougher enforcement. It was an enforcement operation, not a change in the law.[1]
