A mandatory national standard, GB 45248-2025, was published on 28 February 2025 and took effect on 1 September 2025. It sets concentration cutoffs and examination rules for 11 drugs and metabolites, including delta-9 THC. The traffic law already bans driving after taking any state-controlled narcotic or psychotropic drug; the predecessor standard set a blood THC cutoff of 2 ng/mL, but the 2025 table was not readable from the open preview.[1][2]
