Tightening 🇦🇫 Afghanistan

The Taliban ban the use and trade of all drugs

Decree No. 30 of 5 April 2022 banned poppy cultivation and the use, transport, sale, trade, import and export of all drugs, naming hashish among them. The decree gave farmers a two-month grace period for the opium harvest. It set the religious-legal basis for the enforcement campaign that followed, including the March 2023 ban on cannabis cultivation.[1]
