Tightening 🇦🇫 Afghanistan

The Taliban ban cannabis cultivation

Order No. 510 of the Taliban leader Hibatullah Akhundzada declared growing cannabis absolutely prohibited across the country. Crops are to be destroyed, the interior ministry is to bring growers before the courts, and judges are to punish them under Sharia. The newspaper reporting it noted that his earlier ban on poppy had not stopped the opium trade.[1]
