Abkhazia's criminal code was adopted on 28 December 2006 and dated 10 January 2007. It contained drug offences that later amendments repeatedly rewrote: the cultivation article was replaced in 2009, a new possession article was added in 2012, and the top supply tiers were made capital in 2020. The code remains in force, with amendments through August 2023.[1]
