Police in Sughd destroyed about 400,000 wild hemp plants in Khujand, Asht and Bobojon Gafurov districts during operation «Мак-2012». Over the same period, officers in the region seized more than 113 kg of hashish and opened 98 criminal cases under Articles 200 and 201. The operation began on 20 May and was due to run until 30 November.[1]
