Tajikistan's administrative code sets fines for small drug possession

Index score

313

+10 points

The Administrative Code that took effect on 1 April 2009 set fines for acquiring, holding, transporting or sending a small quantity of drugs without intent to supply, where the act had no criminal elements. It also covered small-scale cultivation. The current text sets 20–30 calculation units with confiscation for small possession and 10–20 for cultivation; the Criminal Code applies above those bands.[1]
