Morocco shows its first locally made cannabis medicine abroad

Pharma 5 presented an epilepsy medicine made from Moroccan legally grown cannabis at the CPHI pharmaceutical exhibition in Milan, held from 6 to 8 October. The company called it Morocco's first locally produced cannabis-based medicine. Sothema had already obtained marketing authorisation for three other cannabis-based epilepsy medicines, and five Moroccan medical societies had approved protocols for prescribing CBD. The products sit under the 2021 cannabis law and the pharmaceutical code (Law 17-04).[1]
