Morocco revokes 1,490 cannabis licences during the 2026 harvest

The cannabis regulator withdrew nearly 1,300 licences from growers and 190 from other operators for breaking licensing rules. The operator licences covered seed imports, processing, marketing, exports and transport. At the same time the agency said 1,100 hectares of the local beldiya variety had been harvested, 60% of the area planted with it, by about 1,800 farmers in 154 cooperatives. It had also secured protection for the Moroccan cannabis logo in Luxembourg and Portugal.[1]
