Lebanon signs a deal for its first public cannabis laboratory

Lebanon signed a $10 million agreement with Zhonghua Lianchuang International Holding, a Hong Kong-based Chinese company, to fund the first public laboratory for testing and research in the therapeutic cannabis sector. The laboratory at Lebanese University's faculty of agronomy in Dikwaneh will operate under the Cannabis Regulatory Authority, test and improve Lebanese seeds for export, map growers and catalogue strains. The company is providing $4 million in equipment and the rest in training and technical assistance. The regulatory framework was still awaiting approval when the agreement was signed.[1]
