A July 2026 case study by Harm Reduction International reported that Lebanon's Ministry of Public Health was developing a new drug law to distinguish drug possession from supply, alongside an updated national strategy on substance use. No draft text, date or parliamentary timetable was given. The 1998 drug law still criminalises use and possession, and the plan had not been adopted.[1]
