Lebanon's army destroys cannabis fields in the northern Bekaa

Army units destroyed cannabis fields in Zarazir, Deir al-Ahmar and Shleefa in the northern Bekaa, including plants grown inside homes, and arrested a suspect. The raids came the same week the government appointed the Cannabis Regulatory Authority. They were enforcement, not a change in the law.[1]
