Other law 🇱🇧 Lebanon

Six years after legalising cannabis, Lebanon issues no cultivation licence

No cannabis cultivation licence had been issued by 17 August 2026, six years after Law 178. The implementing decrees had still not entered into force, and the regulator said the framework was ready but blocked in the ministries. The delay left the legal export industry unbuilt while the Bekaa crop remained illegal.[1]
