The Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and Substance Abuse Act 2015, in force on 20 July 2015, replaced the 2005 act and the Penal Code's drug sections. It made cannabis a Schedule I drug, set thresholds of 50 g of herbal cannabis, 7 g of hashish, 3 ml of hashish oil and five plants, and created the possession, cultivation and trafficking tiers still used. It also created a treatment framework for substance abuse.[1]
