Federal agents raid a Santa Cruz patients' collective

Agents of the Drug Enforcement Administration raided the Wo/Men's Alliance for Medical Marijuana near Santa Cruz, a cooperative that gave cannabis free of charge to about 250 patients, most of them terminally ill. They destroyed some 167 plants and took its founders, Valerie and Mike Corral, into custody. The city and county of Santa Cruz responded by joining the collective in suing the federal government.[1][2]
