Uruguay's pharmacies start selling cannabis
Three and a half years after the law passed, registered residents could buy state-licensed cannabis in pharmacies. Home growing and clubs had opened in 2014; this was the route the law had promised to most people. Banks threatened the pharmacies' accounts, and only a few took part.
