Hemp 🇰🇷 South Korea

South Korean lawmakers propose a 0.3% THC line for hemp

Democratic lawmaker Park Ji-won introduced a Hemp Industry Promotion Act defining hemp as Cannabis sativa with no more than 0.3% THC by dry weight, plus a companion amendment removing hemp and hemp products from the narcotics definition. The bill would license cultivation, testing and product sales under food, cosmetics and medicine rules. It followed earlier PPP bills on CBD and medical production; none had passed by 28 October 2026.[1]
