From April 2021, the CBD epilepsy medicine Epidiolex was covered by Korean health insurance for Dravet and Lennox-Gastaut syndromes, for patients who had failed five other epilepsy drugs and whose seizures then fell by at least half. The price fell from about 1.1 million won a bottle to about 200,000 won a bottle under the benefit, but patients with tuberous sclerosis and other conditions still paid the full price. The medicine continued to arrive only through the Korea Orphan and Essential Drug Center.[1][2]
