Hemp 🇳🇵 Nepal

Nepali researchers estimate a national hemp economy

A study by Nepali researchers in Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews estimated that 1.8 million hectares of Nepal are suitable for hemp and that 0.28 million hectares could be grown commercially. It put the net return at about $7,273 per hectare and said the crop could produce 3.1-4.6 million tonnes of solid fuel and 126-174 million litres of biodiesel a year. Hemp remained illegal, and the authors said Nepal lacked the agronomic information and production guidelines needed to grow it.[1]
