The State Committee for National Security and the customs service reported on 23 October 2026 that they had detained four Kyrgyz citizens accused of moving and selling drugs from Southeast Asia. Searches recovered mephedrone, hashish and marijuana worth more than 15 million som. The case was opened under the supply article of the Criminal Code and the investigation continued.[1]
