Ho Chi Minh City police said on 22 October 2026 that they had dismantled an inter-provincial cannabis ring led by Trần Huy Long, arresting 151 people and seizing 176.2 kg of cannabis and 178 e-cigarettes containing cannabis oil. Eighty-one of those arrested faced criminal proceedings and 70 received administrative penalties. The ring stored cannabis in Đồng Tháp and Vĩnh Long and used express delivery and closed online groups to move it into the city. The investigation began with a bar inspection on 7 October.[1]
