On 4 February 2026 the Delhi High Court refused to order the decriminalisation of ganja in a petition by the Great Legislation Movement India Trust. The court said any relaxation was for Parliament and the executive, and asked the Centre to review the NDPS Act and Rules in the light of medical, industrial and ecological arguments. It appointed the Narcotics Control Bureau director as nodal officer; the petition had been pending since 2019.[1]
