Hemp 🇭🇷 Croatia

Croatia's drug abuse act puts hemp under a minister's approval

The Act on Combating the Abuse of Narcotic Drugs, passed on 23 November, took effect. Hemp could be grown only with the prior approval of the agriculture minister, on pain of a fine of 5,000 to 20,000 kuna for an individual. The act prohibited possessing drugs but, as first written, set its fine for possession only for companies and their officers, a gap that later amendments closed. It allowed courts to order treatment for three months to a year.[1]
