Registered Alabama patients could buy licensed medical cannabis when Callie’s Apothecary opened in Montgomery on 4 June. Patients need Alabama residency, a qualifying condition, a certified physician’s recommendation and a registry card; the approved products exclude raw plant material and products that can be smoked or vaped.[1] The commission later listed openings in Talladega on 28 August and Athens on 14 September.[1]
