Ohio limits cannabis gifts to a private home or farm

Senate Bill 56 took effect on 20 March. An adult may possess up to 2.5 ounces of plant material, or 15 grams of extract, when it comes from a licensed Ohio dispensary or was grown at that adult's primary residence.[1] A gift to another adult, with no payment, may be that same amount to the same person on the same day, and only on privately owned land used mainly as a home or a farm, including the buildings on it.[2] A transfer outside those conditions is trafficking.[1] Medical marijuana is outside the gift rule.[1]
