UK food regulator sets out conditions for first high-purity CBD authorisations

An updated Food Standards Agency board paper sought support for recommendations to ministers on three CBD food applications with at least 98% purity. Positive safety opinions were followed by proposed adult-use conditions, a maximum daily dose of 10 mg and warnings for vulnerable groups. Ministers in England and Wales would make the final authorisation decisions, with Northern Ireland’s health minister kept informed.[1]
