Turkey allows hemp to be grown for flowers and leaves under the state grain board

Law 7442 rewrote the first paragraph of Article 23 of the narcotics law. Alongside fibre, seed and stalk, hemp may now be grown with the agriculture ministry's permission for flowers and leaves to make active ingredients for medicines. That growing is done by the Soil Products Office, the state grain board, or by people and companies it engages under its control, within a quota the President may set. A law of July 2025 widened the purpose to medical, health, personal care and supplement products.[1]
