Tightening 🇹🇷 Türkiye

Turkey sets four to twelve years for growing cannabis, one to three for own use

Law 6545 rewrote the cultivation offence in Article 23 of the narcotics law. Sowing hemp in order to obtain cannabis is punished with four to twelve years in prison and a judicial fine of five hundred to ten thousand days. A new sentence treats separately the person who grows only the cannabis they need for their own use: one to three years in prison. Sowing is defined as the whole process from putting seed in the ground to the harvest.[1]
