Taiwan's cannabis march presses for a 0.3% THC limit

The eighth Green Wave rally was held outside the Legislative Yuan on 18 April 2026, organised by the Taiwan Weed Safety Education Association. Speakers called for decriminalisation, pointed to long sentences for small sales and to a terminally ill patient arrested for pain relief, and asked the government to raise the THC limit to 0.3% so patients could use cannabis. The group also said it wanted dialogue rather than an echo chamber.[1]
