Tightening 🇶🇦 Qatar

Qatar makes drug use a crime of its own

Law 20 of 2003 added article 41 bis, which punished consuming a narcotic drug, psychotropic substance or listed plant with one to three years in prison and a fine of QR10,000 to QR20,000. It also made a suspect's refusal to give a sample evidence of consumption. The 1987 law had punished possession or cultivation for personal use but had no separate offence of taking the drug.[1][2]
