Acting on a citizens' petition filed in 2024, the Sejm's petitions committee adopted a formal request to the prime minister for a comprehensive analysis of allowing possession of up to three grams for personal use, and asked whether legislation or a regulated market was being considered. Such a request is not binding. By early January 2026 the government had not answered.[1]
