A Latvian governing party decides to push for medical cannabis

The board of the Progressives resolved to seek a regulation letting doctors prescribe medicines containing cannabis, as capsules, extracts and tablets, and to take it to their coalition partners. Patients, the party said, now have to buy or import such products illegally. The chief of the State Police said he opposed legalising marijuana but would not object to medical use if experts agreed on it.[1]
