Jazz Pharmaceuticals said on 22 August 2024 that its Phase 3 trial of cannabidiol oral solution in 62 Japanese children with severe epilepsies did not meet the primary endpoint, a pre-specified change in seizure frequency.[1] Numeric improvements appeared in the primary and several secondary measures, and the company said it would keep collecting data and talk to Japanese regulators about a new drug application.[1] The trial covered Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, Dravet syndrome and tuberous sclerosis complex.[1]
