Japan sets THC residue limits for CBD products

From 12 December 2024 CBD products could stay legal only if their residual delta-9 THC stayed below 10 ppm in oils and powders, 0.1 ppm in aqueous products and 1 ppm in other products. Anything at or above those limits counted as a narcotic, so selling, possessing or using it became a narcotics offence. The limits came in with the same reform that criminalised cannabis use and opened the route for cannabis-derived medicines.[1]

Listed for context. No score change is recorded for Japan here.
