The Gilbert Islands rewrite their drug law for the Single Convention

The Gilbert and Ellice Islands Colony replaced "growing" with "who knowingly cultivates" in its Indian hemp offence and wrote the Single Convention's definitions into its drug law. The amendment kept cultivation, possession, sale and gifts criminal and created no cannabis licensing route. It was the last major colonial rewrite before independence.[1]
