Federal police burn the Santo Daime community's cannabis at Colônia Cinco Mil

Federal police destroyed and burned the cannabis that the Santo Daime community of Padrinho Sebastião grew at Colônia Cinco Mil near Rio Branco, where it was used as a sacrament under the name Santa Maria. Sebastião was summoned to testify, and the Ministry of Justice set up a commission of police, army and prosecutors; whole families could hardly be jailed.[1]
