A delegation from the Yozgat Confederation of Turkish businessmen proposed building an international hemp processing factory in Azerbaijan at a meeting in Baku. Its president, Mehmet Deniz, said the plant would use industrial hemp for textiles, construction materials, oil and cosmetics, and that the group wanted to repeat a project run with Turkey's agriculture ministry. Azerbaijani experts said the law would have to change first, because growing drug-containing plants was illegal, and the report said the government had not decided on the proposal.[1]
