Police in Ochamchira found more than 82 g of marijuana on a local resident in October 2026. They opened a criminal case for illegal purchase, possession and transport of narcotics and placed him under house arrest. At 82 g the amount is above the 50 g especially-large threshold, so the top possession tier of five to seven years applies.[1]
