The Industrial Hemp Act (Commencement) Order, 2024, published in the Gazette of 3 January 2025, brings the Act into operation on the date of that publication. A licence is required to grow, process, distribute, buy, export or research hemp of not more than 0.3% THC. The Cannabis Act, published on the same day in 2021, is still not in force.[1][2]
