Zambia enacts its Cannabis Act and Industrial Hemp Act

Parliament published both Acts on 20 May 2021. Each comes into operation only on a date the Minister appoints. The Cannabis Act would let the medicines regulator license cultivation, manufacture, storage, distribution, import and export for medicinal, scientific or research purposes. The hemp Act covers plants of not more than 0.3% THC. Neither Act was in force on the day it was published.[1][2]
