Greece ends the state monopoly on selling medical cannabis products

Law 4801/2021 amended the 2013 drug law. It repealed the state's monopoly on the sale of finished cannabis products, so that they can be sold directly to pharmacies, wholesalers, clinics and public hospitals; made the medicines agency EOF the sole licensing body; and allowed exports of finished products and of dried flower in packs of up to 30 g. Products for the Greek market still need EOF's approval before they can be prescribed.[1]
