The Supreme Court's press service said courts convicted almost 3,000 people of drug offences in the first eleven months of 2025. Of them, 2,875 were convicted under article 273 for supply or possession with intent to supply and 14 under article 271 for stealing drugs; 2,650 received prison terms and 225 got fines, corrective labour or other alternatives. In 2024, 3,020 people were sentenced under article 273.[1]
