The lawyer Keith Stroup founded the National Organization for the Repeal of Marijuana Laws, with 5,000 dollars in seed money from the Playboy Foundation, and soon changed "Repeal" to "Reform". It became the leading advocacy group for decriminalising marijuana in the United States.[1][2]
