Harvard University Press publishes psychiatrist Lester Grinspoon's review of cannabis and prohibition. Grinspoon later recalled beginning research in 1967 expecting to establish the drug's dangers, then changing his view after reviewing the literature. The book questioned whether criminal penalties were justified and helped inform reform campaigning; publication did not change the federal scheduling rules.[1]
